CaneCo is a private company registered in St George’s. It was set up to supply the agricultural services necessary to provide cane juice to be milled and distilled at our distillery. To date it has employed well over a hundred islanders, brought in new machinery and started an agricultural renaissance on Grenada.
The company propagates, cultivates, harvests and mills superior sugar cane. Not just any cane, but premium varieties selected for their suitability to the island’s climate and soils, as well as resistance to disease and drought.
With help from Booker Tate, the world’s leading cane experts, modern machinery, and the latest best practice from around the globe, CaneCo has brought about a new approach to an old industry.
By matching cane to soil, in 3 acre units, together we can optimise not only the cane’s natural performance, but also obtain a wide variety of cane from which to make something very special.
