Nursery – so called because it nurses the new cane varieties we bring to Grenada … yet just as appropriate as a way to describe the farm’s character.
Everything here feels soft and gentle; set back from the coast, but raised enough to benefit from a light breeze; sloping, but not so much as to cause drainage issues or impede machinery, just enough to allow the trade winds to roll gently up through the rows of cane. Though the soils and aspect shift as we move up the farm, away from the sea, Nursery eschews any form of extreme. A farm of easy-going softness and harmony.
